Updated | By Sinethemba Madolo
The City of Tshwane suspended the Tshwane Bus Services on Friday afternoon.

City spokesperson, Lindela Mashigo, says the decision was taken after the protest action that took place in the CBD of Pretoria.
Mashigo says law enforcement agencies also advised that services only resume on Saturday.

Mashigo says they regret the inconvenience caused by the withdrawal of bus operations, but adds, the decision was made to safeguard the city's assets and the lives of drivers and the commuters.
"The City of Tshwane will always strive to ensure that a safe, efficient and reliable bus service is always provided to the Tshwane bus commuters," Mashigo concluded.
He urges commuters to find alternative transports.
