Tshwane dismisses water interruption reports

The City of Tshwane says messages doing the rounds that residents of Pretoria East could be without water for two days are false.
The city was reacting to messages on social media claiming Pretoria East will be without water for at least two days.
Spokesperson Lindela Mashigo says the communication is from two years ago.
“The city would like to inform its consumers that this is an old statement which was disseminated about two years ago, around August 2016.

"A bulk water pipeline was installed and there has since been no major water supply interruptions,” he says.
The city says all its customers will be informed of any planned or unplanned water interruptions.
