Tshwane metro cop killed in head-on collision
A Tshwane metro police officer has been killed in a head-on collision with an A Re Yeng bus.
The metro cop was not on duty at the time of Wednesday afternoon’s crash.
“Our member was off duty when he was involved in a head-on collision with an A Re Yeng bus at around 16:00 on the corner of Paul Kruger Street and Mansfield Avenue,” says Tshwane metro police spokesperson Isaac Mahamba.

“He passed away at the scene. The driver of the bus and four passengers were rushed to the nearest hospital.”
The cause of the crash is not yet known and is the subject of a police investigation.
