Tshwane residents warned of low water pressure
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
The City of Tshwane has warned residents to expect reduced water supply as a result of a power trip at the Mapleton Booster Pumping Station.
According to Rand Water, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality is working on the fault, and it is not known when repairs will be concluded.
The power interruption resulted in the depletion of the following Rand Water reservoirs:
• Brakpan 1 & 3
• Vlakfontein 1 & 2
• Bronberge,
• Wildebeesfontein 1, 2 & 3
• Selcourt,
• Stompiesfontein.
"Some of the areas within the Tshwane municipality are therefore likely to experience low water pressure to no water. Residents will be kept abreast of developments," said spokesperson Lindela Mashego
