Tshwane suspends municipal pay points at SPAR, Post Office

The City of Tshwane will for the time being not make use of the South African Post Office (SAPO) or retailer SPAR as third-party vendors where residents can pay for municipal services.

Spokesperson for the city Lindela Mashigo says the suspension is due to technical difficulties.

“The suspension comes as a result of technical challenges experienced in processing payments made through the two outlets, all SAPO and SPAR outlets are affected.”

Residents are still able to pay at the City of Tshwane’s Customer Care Centres, EasyPay outlets, Shoprite, Checkers and banks.

Mashigo says residents will be notified once the systems at the two suspended vendors have been restored.
