Tshwane teams work to restore power in parts of Pretoria
The City of Tshwane says it is aware of the massive electricity outage affecting some parts of Pretoria since early Thursday morning.
Suburbs that include Hatfield and Brooklyn have been left powerless.
City of Tshwane spokesperson Lindela Mashigo says technical teams have been deployed to establish the cause of the outage.
"It is true that we have a ring outage affecting the likes of Brooklyn, Hatfield and other surrounding areas. The city has dispatched electricians to establish the cause of the power outage, the problem will then be isolated, thereafter repairs will be carried out and switching back will be done," says Mashigo.
However, he could not give an indication of when electricity will be fully restored.
