Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Classes at the Tshwane University of Technology's (TUT) Pretoria campus has again been suspended.
Listen to the full bulletin:
TUT spokesperson Willa de Ruyter says the decision to suspend academic activities was made to ensure the safety of students.
"This is due to renewed strike protest action and inaccessibility to the campus. We apologise to members of the public, students and staff for the inconvenience," says De Ruyter.
#OutsourcingMustFall members, especially security personnel, embarked on a strike, saying TUT is not holding up their side of the agreement to insource workers.
Striking workers are demanding that TUT withdraws the new security tenders.
