TUT Soshanguve campuses closed
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
The Tshwane University of Technology has closed its Soshanguve campuses with immediate effect.
Spokesperson Willa de Ruyter said the campus would re-open on April 5 following weeks of protest action.
The university said a small group of students were continuing to disrupt activities at the campuses.
"It must be noted that a number of the people who are causing these disruptions are in fact not registered TUT students," it said.
Students living in residences have been urged to vacate the residences by 2.00pm on March 8 for their own safety.
"Those students who are able to vacate the residences today, should do so."
The recess scheduled for June and July will be utilised to catch up on the academic time lost as a result of the closure.
