Tutu discharged from hospital
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu was discharged from a Cape Town hospital on Wednesday morning where he has spent the past three weeks.
The 84-year-old checked himself into a Cape Town hospital at the end of August for treatment to bring a recurring infection under control.
The Arch underwent a minor surgical procedure a week ago to address the cause of the infection.
Tutu's daughter confirmed that he was admitted for the same reason that saw him hospitalised for a week in 2015.
His wife Leah Tutu said in a statemen she was overjoyed to welcome her husband home, and promised she'd be doing everything within her power to nurture him back to full health.
