Tutu to undergo minor surgery
Updated | By HeartFM
Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu will undergo a small surgical operation on Wednesday.
He's currently in a Cape Town hospital receiving treatment for a recurring infection, after being admitted late last month.
The Arch was also in and out of hospital last year.
Tutu's family released a statement on Tuesday saying he will undergo a small surgical procedure to address the root cause of the infections.
The family added that Tutu is responding well to the treatment he is receiving.
Expressing the family's gratitude to all who were holding the Archbishop in their prayers, Leah Tutu said further updates on the Archbishop's condition would be released through the media as appropriate.
It's understood this treatment is not related to the prostate cancer he has been living with for nearly two decades.
