Two arrested for apparent hit on Cape Town lawyer

Police in the Western Cape have
arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of prominent Cape Town
advocate, Pete Mihalik.

The two suspects were nabbed on Wednesday.
The police's Noloyiso Rwexana says the two suspects have been charged with murder, as well as the attempted murder of Mihalik's eight-year-old son.
The 50-year-old was gunned down on Tuesday while dropping off his child at his school in Green Point.

The eight-year-old son was also wounded in the process and is recovering in hospital.
The lawyer has defended a number of prominent figures from the Cape underworld in court.
Rwexana says the two suspects, who are 26 and 31 years of age, will be appearing in the Cape Town Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
