Warrant Officer Xoli Mbele said the two, aged 22 and 23, were arrested on Tuesday after they were allegedly found hiding in a shop on the corner of Small and Albertina Sisulu streets in central Johannesburg.

"It is alleged that a 26-year-old male owner of the shop closed his shop at 6pm on Monday. When he came to open the shop the following day he saw that the storeroom was broken into."

He closed the shop and called the police.

"Suspects were found hiding inside the shop and nothing was taken out of the shop."

The two were arrested and charged with business burglary and malicious damage to property.
