Two die in N3 crash
Two people died in a head-on collision on the N3 south close to the Van Buuren Road off-ramp in Bedfordview east of Johannesburg on Friday morning.
Ekurhuleni emergency services spokesperson, William Ntladi, says two vehicles were involved in the crash, one a truck and the other a light motor vehicle.
He adds there were four occupants in the car.
The driver and the front passenger died on the scene.
"The other two who were at the back sustained critical injuries. Both of them have been the to the hospital for medical care," says Ntladi.
Ntladi says the truck driver and his assistant escaped the crash with minimum injuries.
Ntladi adds four lanes on the N3 were closed while they waited for police forensic officials to complete their investigation.
