Two former EFF MPs join Patriotic Alliance

The Patriotic Alliance has announced the recruitment of more members from various political parties, including the EFF and Operation Dudula.

The party had a successful general election in May, managing to secure nine seats in the National Assembly.
This has seen it join the government of national unity and securing its leader, Gayton McKenzie, a ministerial post.
The party’s Deputy President Kenny Kunene says among the former EFF members joining the PA are Patrick Sindane, the former national organiser, and Kenny Motsamai, a former Member of Parliament.
The two resigned from the EFF two weeks ago.
Sindane, who previously served in the Gauteng legislature, was responsible for organising rallies and filling stadiums during election campaigns.
He sais he joined the PA because of the party’s views on immigration, stating that he believes undocumented migrants should not be allowed in South Africa.
“I’ll be doing groundwork, nobody can take me away from the ground.
“So my work is that, as for what is called in the PA, I don’t know. I just know that I’ll be doing groundwork to make sure that we win the psychological warfare.
“I left my former organisation because I think the PA appeals to my conscience, in terms of what they represent. We can’t say people can freely come to our country when we haven’t fixed our own issues,” says Sindane.
Motsamai echoed the sentiments, saying that the country needs to prioritise resolving its own internal issues before opening its borders to everyone.
“I was very happy from prison to join the EFF, but now my time is over from the EFF.
“I joined Patriotic Alliance because the constitution of the party talks about the land and that people who are undocumented must go where they belong and give us space,” he said.
