Updated | By Mapaballo Borotho
Two suspects have been arrested for possession of dagga worth some R3 million.
The two undocumented suspects, a 36-year-old Malawi national and a 34-year-old Tanzanian national, indicated that they were travelling to Johannesburg from Eswatini with the luggage.
Mpumalanga police spokesperson Selvy Mohlala says the Department of Home Affairs will be roped in to investigate the status of the suspects in South Africa.
"The suspects were arrested for dealing in dagga and contravening of the Immigration Act. Both the vehicle and the bags were seized for further investigation," he said.
Both suspects will appear in the Belfast Magistrate's Court as soon as the investigation is completed.
