Two NW men nabbed for illegal diamonds

Two men have been arrested by the Hawks in North West for the possession of illegal diamonds in Christiana in North West.
The two men were arrested in Christiana on Wednesday.
“Two suspects, aged 46 and 51, were arrested by the Hawks' Serious Organised Crime Investigation Unit for illegal dealing and possession of unpolished diamonds on Wednesday in Christiana,” says provincial Hawks spokesperson Tlangelani Rikhotso.
“The pair was arrested during a sting operation after they were found in possession of the diamonds worth approximately R50 000. The diamonds were seized for further investigation.”
