"The impact resulted in the vehicle rolling several times into a veld coming to rest in a ditch.
"When medics assessed the patients they found that both the pedestrians, adult males believed to be in their mid-thirties, had sustained fatal injuries," says Herbst.
He says that the driver sustained serious injuries but was stabilised on the scene.
"The passenger of the vehicle, an adult female, sustained moderate injuries in the rollover.
"They were both treated on scene and once stabilised were transported by Netcare 911 ambulance as well as government ambulance to hospital for further treatment," concludes Herbst.
