Two suspects have been arrested in
connection with the murder of seven family members in Vlakfontein, south of
Johannesburg.

Seven bodies - four children and three women - were found buried under sand in two separate rooms in house lat week
The police's Mavela Masondo says the officers received a tip-off on Wednesday which led them to Mpumalanga.
That is where they managed to nab the first suspect.

The second suspect - a 61-year-old man - was later arrested in Dobsonville.

"The 27-year-old suspect will face additional charges of rape," Masondo says.
The arrests have been lauded by acting provincial commissioner Max Masha.
"These arrests will go a long way in proving to those who continue to undermine the authority of the state, that police mean business when we say that we will prioritise cases against women and children. The investigating team must now ensure that the case is watertight towards a successful conviction."
The two men are set to appear in Lenasia Magistrate's Court on Monday.
