Typhoid cases on the rise in Tshwane

There has been an increase in the number of typhoid cases in the City of Tshwane.
The number of cases increased from seven to nine on Tuesday morning.
Tshwane Health MMC Rina Marx says despite the increase there is no outbreak in the city as the cases are scattered.
"There is no typhoid outbreak in the city presently.

"A group of people in a specific area should be confirmed with the infection.
"Cases are scattered all over the city. There are currently nine cases registered of which two cases were reported in December 2021 and seven cases from January to date."
