UDM threatens legal action against DA

The United Democratic Movement (UDM) is heading to court over the removal of its Nelson Mandela Bay deputy mayor, Mongameli Bobani.
This comes after Bobani was ousted in the legislature following a vote of no confidence.
UDM leader Bantu Holomisa says the party has an issue with the way in which Bobani was removed.

"We feel strongly that procedures were flouted in the council meeting."
Last week, the UDM threatened to leave the governing coalition if the DA did not reinstate Bobani.
The Democratic Alliance (DA) says it will only comment when they have received court papers from the UDM.
