Vaal Dam reaches capacity
Updated | By Suné du Toit
The levels at the Bloemhof and Vaal dams have reached capacity after good rains over the last few weeks.

The Department of Water and Sanitation's Sputnik Ratau says they have taken the decision to release water from the two dams.
Ratau says the department will be gazetting the lifting of the water restrictions in Gauteng.
"Once that gazette has been put in place, the affected municipalities will be notified to that effect and the lifting of water restrictions will be affected," says Ratau.
