The report entitled the "Great Bank Heist", compiled by Advocate Terry Motau, revealed how 52 individuals looted at least R2 billion from the bank.

"The ANC Parliamentary caucus saw it prudent to bring this matter of public importance, affecting the most vulnerable of our people, who invested their hard earned monies in the VBS Mutual Bank, to Parliament for debate.

"Our stance on this matter is informed by our conviction that those who have been found guilty of any wrong to be processed by our law enforcement agencies," says spokesperson Nonceba Mhlauli.

The explosive VBS report has implicated some ANC officials, including the deputy chairperson of the ANC in Limpopo Florence Radzilani and provincial treasurer Danny Msiza.

It is alleged that Radzilani received R300 million, while Msiza allegedly had a hand in ensuring that municipalities illegally deposited money at the bank.

The matter is being dealt with by the ANC's national integrity commission.

The VBS Mutual Bank Report will be debated in the National Assembly next Tuesday.
