Vehicles torched in N4 protest

Two vehicles, including a truck, were torched during a community protest on the N4 in Witbank.

Protesters are angry over a lack of service delivery and high unemployment.
Police spokesperson Leonard Hlathi says protesters dumped coal on the road to prevent motorists from passing through.

A bus driver was injured after getting caught up in the protests.
"Protesters also went further by damaging the bus's windscreen. The bus driver has also been taken to hospital," Hlathi says
The N4 has since been reopened.
