Veteran Gospel star Solly Moholo laid to rest

Gospel singer Solly Moholo died in October at the age of 65.

Solomon Molokoane, also known as 'Solly Moholo', had been hospitalised for several weeks after falling ill while on a music tour in Botswana last month.
His management confirmed the news of his passing on his Facebook page.
The award winning muso was known for hits such as "Die poppe sal dans" ,Ka letsatsi labofelo, Tsoha Jonase and many others.
His funeral service took place in Pretoria on Saturday.
Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi addressed mourners, saying Moholo was on the side of the poor.
The gospel singer often performed at ANC rallies, and has shared the stage with party president Cyril Ramaphosa.
Molokoane’s music was prominent in early 2000, and was affectionately seen as an ambassador of Zion Christian Church music due to his Evangelical music that was fused with township lingo style.
He passed on 2nd October 2024 whilst in hospital, after fall following his performance at an pre-launch event for his album in Botswana.
