VIDEO: N.Y. store clerk foils robbery with machete

A robber was sent running when the counter clerk at a deli he was attempting to rob pulled out a machete.

An unknown suspect armed with a pistol attempted to rob a Brentwood deli however, his plans where foiled and he was sent running when an angry machete-wielding counter clerk taught him a hard lesson.
Now, the Suffolk County Police Department is asking the public for assistance in tracking down the would-be robber who appears in survalience video to be wearing a ski-mask.
The incident was all caught on tape and here is how it went down, according to Police.
At 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25th, a suspect described as a young black male with a thin build and standing approximately 5-foot, 10-inches tall entered the Stop and Shop Deli located on Crooked Hill Road in Brentwood.
Once inside, the suspect drew a silver .22 caliber pistol on the clerk and demanded money; however, as recorded on the business’ surveillance video system, the clerk had no intention of complying with the armed robber.
Drawing a machete, a bladed weapon knife approximately two feet long, the clerk chased the robber out of the store and into the parking lot. The suspect fled in a northbound direction, according to authorities.
