Vuwani matriculants in race against time to prepare for exams
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
Matriculants living in Vuwani have less than a month to get ready for the final exams.

Basic education department spokesperson Elijah Mhlanga says matric exams kick off in less than 20 days, leaving learners in a race against time to catch up on all the work they missed while the shutdown was in place.
"A catch-up plan, which we prepared many weeks ago in the light of the fact that there were already tensions in Vuwani will be implemented today."
Matric learners will be placed at seven centres around Vuwani which have been set aside as part of the catch-up programme.

Close to 30 000 students primary and high school learners were affected by the strike.
Learning for all other learners will resume next week Monday.
