Vuwani pupils to receive more than 450 bicycles

The Department of Transport is set to handover 452 bicycles to pupils from 10 schools in Vuwani, Limpopo.
The Shova Kalula Bicycle Programme is heading to the small town of Vuwani on Friday to donate bicycles to 452 pupils.
“Many focuses on rural provinces like Limpopo, KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape. Beneficiaries comprising of learners who walk between three and five kilometres to school on a daily basis,” says the department’s Ayanda Allie Paine.
Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula will hand over the more than 450 bicycles.
The initiative is also part of the department's efforts to deal with the challenges of scholar transport in the country.
