Vuwani schools remain closed

While protests in Vuwani have died down, many pupils and teachers have still not returned to school.

Jacaranda FM News visited the Limpopo village on Thursday and found several schools deserted.
On Tuesday, the Limpopo education department pleaded with the community to allow pupils to return to school.
It also confirmed it had received donations to the tune of R2million to assist with education in the area.

The Wilson Maligana Secondary School in Vuwani was one of the schools found to be deserted on Thursday.
