WARNING GRAPHIC IMAGES: Suspected poacher nabbed on Limpopo farm
A suspected poacher has been arrested after being found in possession of animal carcasses at a local farm outside Tzaneen, Limpopo.
Police in the province says the suspect was arrested in the early hours of Thursday.
Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says the farm's security guards searched the suspects' vehicle, and found the carcasses of two Impalas.
"Security officers at the farm along the R71 road were following information about the existence of poachers who were already inside the farm and during that process. They spotted a suspicious vehicle."
Ngoepe says six suspects fled on foot when approached by the security personnel, leaving behind the driver, who tried to flee, but was arrested.
The suspect facing charges of illegal hunting.
Police have a launched a manhunt for the remaining suspects.
