The South African Police Service (SAPS) has confirmed that Police Minister, Bheki Cele will visit the Westbury community following violent protests.
Eight people have been arrested for public violence.
The situation in the area remains volatile, with multiple reports of further destruction of property through out the night.
A Rea Vaya bus station was vandalised on Tuesday evening after a day during which police fired rubber bullets and tear gas at irate residents.
Various injuries were reported.
Hundreds of residents are protesting against crime, drugs, gang violence and a lack of policing in the area.

"We got the report that the Minister will visit Westbury this morning. We believe they will engage with the Office of the Ministry to resolve their problems," says Gauteng police spokesperson Kay Makhubele.
The ANC's secretary general, Ace Magashule also vowed to visit the family of a 45-year-old woman killed during last week's gang violence.
He met with the community policing forum (CPF) at the Sophiatown police station on Tuesday where he said government will intensify its efforts to curb crime in the area.
