The House sat on Thursday to debate a budget and elect a new president.

However, proceedings were adjourned until Monday after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19.

A video published by the PAP on Twitter shows a scuffle between Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema and one PAP member seen to be wearing a green shirt.

Malema then shouts to the member "I will kill you" before the two men were separated.

The African National Congress' (ANC) chief whip Pemmy Majodina is also seen pointing at the man in the green shirt before she is escorted out.

On Wednesday, Malema challenged the chair of the house Fortune Charumbira to take control of proceedings so as to manage rude members.

The house descended into chaos after Malema's remarks.
