Casac: Zuma failed to cooperate in state capture fees appeal
Updated | By Karabo Tebele
The Constitutional Court has struck former president Jacob Zuma's state capture fees appeal application off the roll with cost.

The apex court handed down the ruling on Thursday morning.
The Democratic Alliance (DA), Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), and the Council for the Advancement of the SA Constitution (Casac) asked the court to strike the matter off the roll.
This after Zuma's legal team missed a deadline to file documents related to the case.
"The court was left with no choice really given the fact that Zuma failed to cooperate with the court. He failed to file any papers in this matter and having to have applied for leave to appeal to Constitutional Court against the judgment of the High Court and Supreme Court of Appeal that dismissed this appeal against the cost order," says Casac’s Lawson Naidoo.
"I think Zuma certainly wasted valuable court time where the court had to convene this morning in order to deliver this judgment."
Zuma wanted to contest a R10 million cost order awarded against him by the High Court in connection with his attempt to halt the release of former public protector Thuli Madonsela’s state capture report in 2016.
