[WATCH] Home Affairs vows action against 'Facebook official'
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
Minister of Home Affairs Malusi Gigaba has promised swift action against an official caught on video using social media while on duty.
A video, showing the official at Beitbridge border post checking her Facebook feed and WhatsApp messages while on duty, has gone viral.
The video has caused widespread uproar, with the ANC's Head of Elections Fikile Mbalula asking citizens to continue exposing "ineptness".
"I was this morning informed about the video circulating on social media platforms, and have asked the Department of Home Affairs to investigate this matter and take swift action against the official," Gigaba wrote on Twitter.
