WATCH: Ipid probing video of two cops assaulting man in Fish Hoek

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) is investigating a case of assault against two police officers who were caught beating a man in Fish Hoek in the Western Cape.
The video of the two officers assaulting an unknown man has gone viral on social media.
Ipid spokesperson Lizzy Shuping has confirmed an investigation has been launched into the conduct of the two police officers.
“Ipid is investigating a case of assault after seeing a video that was circulating on social media where police were assaulting a civilian in Fishhoek in the Western Cape.”

It is not clear when the incident took place.
Although the motive is unknown, social media reports suggest that the man was beaten after reporting a missing person.
