Godongwana's speech comes on the back of concerns that the Covid-19 pandemic, the rolling bouts of load shedding and the rising unemployment have slowed economic recovery.
Despite continued hardships, some economists predict much needed progress.
Godongwana is expected to touch on social relief grants, tax collection and the economic reconstruction and recovery plan.
