[WATCH] Mbalula part of Johannesburg roadblock blitz

The Minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula was part of a roadblock blitz in Johannesburg on Friday night where drunk drivers, especially, were targeted.

Mbalula joined the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) as they set up roadblocks across the city and arrested more than 10 people in the first hour of the operation.

On Friday, the Gauteng Safer Festive campaign was launched.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) used the occasion to issue a stern warning to anyone thinking of bribing a police officer.
According to Brigadier Mathapelo Peters, they have been arresting members of the public who try and bribe police officer and she warns: "They should not even try it."
