Several shops were looted in Pretoria on Wednesday after taxi drivers gathered in the CBD for a second consecutive day.
The taxi drivers maintain they are merely assisting law enforcement in identifying drug hotspots.
According to Gauteng police's Augustinah Selepe, the looted shops belong to alleged drug dealers.

"We cannot confirm whether they are foreign nationals since at this stage we are busy monitoring the situation."
On Tuesday, a 45-year-old taxi driver was shot and killed after the protesting drivers clashed with the alleged drug dealers.
During the protest several roads were blockaded with buses hijacked by the taxi drivers, leaving the CDB gridlocked.
