Water outage closes Ekurhuleni licencing centres
The Ekurhuleni Traffic Department says operations have been suspended at Benoni and Boksburg licensing centres due to a lack of water.
The water supply interruption is due to the Rand Water maintenance at the Zwartkoppies pumping system.
Rand Water's 16-day planned maintenance work will impact the water supply in areas of Johannesburg, Tshwane, and Ekurhuleni.
The utility's planned maintenance started on 30 June and is expected to continue throughout the province until 18 July.
In the meantime, residents have been urged to make use of other licensing centres across the city.
