A 54-year-old suspect Moehydien Pangarker was arrested in Cradock, Eastern Cape, on Tuesday evening in connection with the 8-year-old’s disappearance and murder.

Provincial Community Safety spokesperson Cayla Murray says the department will ensure that there are no inefficiencies in investigations.

“My department is in the process of activating a court watching brief which will monitor the case for any inefficiencies relating to the SAPS investigation, ensuring that the case is not struck off the court roll.”

The 54-year-old is expected to appear in the Goodwood Magistrate’s court on Friday.

Meanwhile the victim’s aunt Samantha van Wyk told media on Thursday that the perpetrator will enjoy life in prison while Tazne is dead.

“Your children can't play outside anymore. Must the children grow up like this now? The children don't understand what is going on. We must now keep our children in our homes, this isn't right.”

"He's going to have a nice life (in prison), we are now working for him, the one that killed our children. We have to work for him now.
