In his first public statement since the death of his daughter Karabo Moekoena's father Thabang said he expected Sandile Mantsoe to spend the rest of his life in prison.
Mantsoe was sentenced to an effective 32 years in prison by the High Court in Johannesburg on Thursday.
This after he was found guilty of murdering Mokoena, assaulting her days before her death and for trying to defeat the ends of justice by burning her body in an attempt to hide the crime.

One of Karabo Mokoena's best friends, Stephanie Leong, said the length of the sentence is of no interest to her.
Leong said all she wanted was for Mantsoe to come clean on the events of the day of Karabo's death.
