WEATHER: Another cold front heading our way

The South African Weather Service has issued a warning of an intense cold front  expected to affect the Western Cape from Sunday into Monday.

The public and small stock farmers are advised that heavy rain, strong to gale force coastal and interior winds, very rough seas, and snow can be expected.


Gauteng: Morning fog patches, otherwise partly cloudy and cool.

Mpumalanga: Cloudy in the east at first with morning fog patches and drizzle, otherwise partly cloudy and cool.


Mbombela: 10 / 21

Limpopo: Cloudy in the east at first with morning drizzle and fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool.


Polokwane: 06 / 20


North West: Fine and cool becoming partly cloudy in the southeast in the afternoon.

Free State: Fine and cool but cold in places along the Lesotho border.


Bloemfontein: 02 / 18


Northern Cape: Fine and cool, but cold over the southern highground. Morning fog patches expected along the coast and adjacent interior becoming partly cloudy.

Western Cape: Fine and cool in the east, otherwise partly cloudy with morning fog patches along the south-west coast where there will be evening light rain.



Cape Town: 13 / 16


Eastern Cape: Fine and cool but warm in the south. The wind along the coast will be moderate north easterly becoming moderate to fresh south westerly by afternoon.

KwaZulu-Natal: Partly cloudy with morning fog patches over the northern interior, otherwise fine and cool but warm along the north coast.
