WEATHER: High fire danger in the Western Cape

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in the western interior of the Northern Cape as well as West Coast District of the Western Cape.

Gauteng: Fine and warm becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.

Mpumalanga: Morning fog patches in places on the highveld, otherwise fine and warm but hot in places in the Lowveld. It will becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.

Free State: Fine and warm becoming partly cloudy with isolated isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the extreme south.

Northern Cape: Morning fog along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the central and eastern interior but scattered in the south-east. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly becoming fresh in the afternoon.

Western Cape: Partly cloudy and warm but hot to very hot in the interior becoming fine in the west by during the day. Isolated showers and thundershowers can be expected in the extreme north-eastern interior. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

Eastern Cape: Hot over the northern interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the extreme north. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-westerly, becoming light southerly to south-easterly from the afternoon.

KwaZulu-Natal: Hot in places over the western interior, otherwise fine and warm becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the west and south.
