Extremely high fire danger conditions expected in parts of the Northern Cape, North West Province, central and south western parts of the Free State, northern interior of the Eastern Cape, and the Central Karoo of the Western Cape.

Severe thunderstorms are expected over Gauteng, extreme western parts of Mpumalanga, north-eastern parts of Free State and north-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal.
Gauteng: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers. It will be hot in the north.

Mpumalanga: Cloudy in the east at times with morning fog patches over the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Free State: Partly cloudy and hot but warm in places with isolated afternoon thundershowers but scattered in the north.

Northern Cape: Fog along the coast where it will be cool, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, but very hot over the northern interior with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the east. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-westerly.

Western Cape: Morning fog along the west and south-coast otherwise partly cloudy and cool but warm to hot over the interior. It will be cloudy along the south coast at first. It will becoming cloudy in the south-west by evening with light rain. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-westerly but south-westerly along the south coast.

Eastern Cape: Fine and hot becoming partly cloudy with isolated thunderstorms north east of Cradock, but it will be warm along the coast. The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly becoming strong south westerly during the morning.

KwaZulu-Natal: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers but scattered in the west. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-easterly.
