Web Ellis Cup heading to central SA after all: Free State Rugby

Free State citizens have been steadfast in various plights for the Boks trophy tour celebrations to make its way to Bloemfontein and over 12 600 people have signed a petition launched by OFM’s The Big Breakfast.
Free State Rugby says it has received an indication from SA Rugby (SARU) that the Web Ellis Cup will, indeed, be visiting the City of Roses.
Following the Springsboks' victory in the Rugby World Cup in Japan, Free State Rugby expressed its disappointment that the Free State was not included in the Boks' victory parade that saw the men in green and gold visiting Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Port Elizabeth, East-London, and Cape Town.

According to Ronel Pienaar of Free State Rugby: "We have an indication that the World Cup trophy and some of the Springbok players swill be visiting us in January and although it is late, it will at least still give supporters the opportunity to see the players and the Cup."
