It's a week for raincoats and umbrellas

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has confirmed that more rain can be expected in the interior of the country throughout the whole week.
SAWS forecaster Vanetia Phakula says downpours are expected in the interior of the country, with heavy rain forecast for the western part of Kwa-Zulu Natal this week.
"KZN has no alert, but on the other hand we are expecting heavy rainfall so there is a possibility of severe thunderstorms that could lead to heavy downpours. But we are expecting most rainfall to be in the central interior. The provinces that will be affected mainly are Free State, Mpumalanga, Northwest, Gauteng and the western parts of Limpopo.
Areas that could be affected by possible heavy rain and flash floods in KwaZulu-Natal are New Castle, Ladysmith and surrounds.
Phakula adds that it may not rain continuously for the next few days.
"Basically, for the rest of the week on and off rains are expected with the provinces that seem to be getting the most rain being Free State, Northwest, Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Kwa-Zulu Natal at times. So for those areas for the next seven days they will be experiencing rain for most of its days until the weekend."
