'Why did he fire four shots' - court hears in Oscar Pistorius sentence appeal
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Questions have been raised about why convicted murderer Oscar Pistorius fired four shots into a toilet cubicle.
The Pistorius case is back in court on Friday.
The State is arguing in the Supreme Court of Appeal that the former Paralympian should serve a longer jail sentence for shooting and killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
Justice Meyer has asked: "Why shoot four times into the cubicle where there was no way out? Why impose death sentence on intruder?"
Meyer says in order for there to be sincere remorse, there must be an acceptable explanation.
