Widespread showers, thunderstorms expected on Wednesday

"That will then spread to Gauteng and also KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) and parts of Mpumalanga overnight," says Venter.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has warned that widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected in a number of provinces on Wednesday.
The SAWS' Wayne Venter says the Free State, North West, and the central and eastern parts of the Northern Cape will see widespread rain today.

"That will then spread to Gauteng and also KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) and parts of Mpumalanga overnight," says Venter.
"These storms might result in heavy rainfall and some localised flooding as well," he adds.
We can also expect some hail today in the Free State North West province."
