Wits student taken to Limpopo speaks out
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
A Wits student who says he was taken to Thohoyandou in Limpopo after he was arrested by police has spoken out.
Arthur Mohamelwa addressed the media at Wits, urging students to not give up in their fight for free higher education.
Mohamelwa claims he was abandoned in an open veld in Limpopo after he was arrested in Johannesburg on Sunday.
Students are accusing police of brutality and of targeting students leaders in an attempt to stop the #FeesMustFall movement.
The university's Dean of Students contacted Mohamelwa, but he reportedly refused to meet with any Wits management.
Student leader Shaeera Kalla yesterday told JacaNews what happened to Mohamelwa.
