Wits students heading to the ConCourt over financial exclusion

The court bid comes as the Wits SRC said they have been suspended by the institution and locked out of their residence rooms.
Students from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) are taking their plight to the highest court in the land.
Wits SRC president, Mpendulo Mfeka says they will be launching an urgent application at the Constitutional Court to look into the matter of free education.
"We will be launching, together with Section 27, an urgent application to look into the issue of free and decolonised education in our country," he said.
Students have been protesting over financial exclusions at Wits and the protests have spread across the country.

Mfeka says more activists and lawyers will be needed to implement free education.
Students handed over a memorandum of demands at Constitutional Hill on Thursday afternoon.
