Woman mauled to death by lions at Bela-Bela game reserve

Police in Bela-Bela are investigating the death of a 21-year-old woman who was attacked and killed by lions at a private game reserve.
Limpopoo police's Moatshe Ngoepe says the woman has been identified as Swans van Wyk.
"On arrival, they found the woman with severe injuries outside the cage. She was certified dead by the paramedics at the scene," says Ngoepe.

Ngoepe says preliminary investigations indicate the woman was busy with her work at the game reserve when she was attacked and killed by the lions.
"The circumstances leading to this tragic incident are still unknown at this stage but the ongoing police investigations will tell," said Ngoepe.
